It’s a Friday afternoon and the clock is ticking. You are working furiously to complete a task allotted which needs to be submitted before 5 o’ clock deadline, while you are silently cursing yourself for not starting it sooner and deep inside you are unable to enjoy the weekend feeling.

How did this happen? What went wrong? Why and when did you lose your focus?

Procrastination is a trap which many of the professionals fall into. It’s a process where you choose to do something else instead of the task you are supposed to do first. Lack of interest, distraction, loosing focus, laziness and unwillingness to act are the culprits.

Here are few quick tips to Overcome Procrastination:

1.       Schedule and Time your work.

2.     Recognize and accept that you are procrastinating.

3.     Always maintain a To-Do list.

4.     Prioritize your tasks honestly and fairly.

5.     Take the hardest task first on your list at your peak hrs. When

        you are most productive.

6.     Set personal Reminders /Motivators (Persons reminding

you about the tasks, yes it works.)

7.     Set your task completion goal for every day.

8.    Don’t forget to do a quick Evaluation at the end of the day.

Analyze the gap to understand the degree of your Procrastination fever.
